IRON SWAN STUDIO
BEAUTY THROUGH
MY EYES
IRINA LANGEVIN
Aesthete, stylist, artist, dramaturge
FROM THE VERY EARLIEST DAYS OF MY CHILDHOOD, I EMBARKED ON A QUEST FOR THE MOST EXQUISITE BEAUTY. IT BECAME MY GUIDING STAR IN LIFE.
Beauty is far more profound than a fleeting fad or a charming visage; it can manifest itself in the most unexpected ways, rising above the mundane to transcend time and space. When the soul is nourished by the rich soil of creativity, beauty becomes an absolute, a divine energy that permeates the very heart, igniting an insatiable desire to strive for excellence and attain the ideal. It is through the human spirit, alone, that beauty is given form and substance; and it is in these moments of transcendent artistry that the human being becomes a messenger of the Universe, guiding us toward a brighter future and illuminating the path to the Golden Age.
As I embarked on this labyrinthine journey of self-discovery, I gradually came to appreciate the fact that beauty is not a fleeting, external entity that can be grasped or possessed, but rather a profound and multifaceted aspect of our inner selves that must be cultivated and nurtured. Moreover, I began to recognize that we often become lost in a virtual reality of our own creation, disconnected from the rich tapestry of life that surrounds us, and unknowingly surrendering to a form of heroic madness that obscures our true potential. However, I then came to understand that our ultimate purpose is to create a beauty that is both great and transcendent, to channel the divine through our own lives, and to grow into towering spiritual giants, rather than simply claiming the crown of nature's glory!

I have resolved to do everything in my power to show my own unique style and cultivate beauty in every project I embark upon, every new education, and all for the sake of beauty. However, my path has not been without its challenges, as I have encountered those who have deliberately distorted and watered down the concept of art, declaring as "art" anything that is grotesque and lacking in refinement. Harmony has given way to shallow endeavors and pretentious claims to intellectual art. "There's an idea, and you have to see it," they say. But does this chaos lead us to the dreams of our fantasies? In reverence, for example, before the genius artist as an instrument, humble, I should say, an instrument that has managed to conceal its ego, subject it to the long and weary days, months, and years of seeking and polishing his craftsmanship, earning the reputation that the viewer will call virtuosity and giftedness?
And beauty will indeed save the world! For in contemplating the beautiful, the very essence of the soul is transformed, and in a state of profound awe we are unable to harbor the baser emotions of anger, hatred, or destruction. Our own self becomes infinitesimally small and yet so reverent in the face of this towering monument of light, of which we are but a minuscule particle, and we are filled with gratitude for the inestimable privilege of being part of it and for the boundless horizons that stretch out before us. For we can, always can, embark upon this path and bestow upon others the sublime gift of elevated feelings and these elevated states of the soul, just as that humble artist who is but a mere instrument in the hands of the Almighty.
